There are few things in life more irksome or uncomfortable than walking around with wet feet. (Yes, it’s a very first world problem-y, but still, it’s no fun.) But if you think that the only way to keep your feet nice and dry is via a pair of rain boots, guess again. These days, there are more options for waterproof shoes than ever before, across a wide range of styles and price points. So no matter whether you’re looking for a pair to wear specifically in the rain (or snow), a great pair of sneakers to get you through outdoor runs on rainy days, or a stylish pair of boots, we’ve got you covered. Here, 10 of the best waterproof shoes. Can you really talk about waterproof shoes without throwing a pair of rain boots into the mix? We think not. This brand is well-known and beloved for their awesome wellies; we like this option, which is tall enough to cover your ankles but not too bulky. They are, of course, completely waterproof, but also boast a cushioned insole for extra comfort and a pull-tab that makes them easy to take on and off. On Clouds are ubiquitous these days (for good reason, they’re cute, comfy, and great to work out in), and this particular pair has the added benefit of being waterproof. Whether for a long walk, run, or just to run errands, the sporty style coupled with their functionality can’t be beat. Bonus points for the fact that they come in a nice range of six colors. No matter whether you’re hiking on a rainy day or are just worried about encountering puddles and muddy terrain, a good pair of waterproof hiking boots is invaluable. These check all the important criteria, with a totally waterproof membrane, extra cushion in the footbed, and tons of ankle support, not to mention the fact that they’re made from super durable leather. Yes, these strap-on sandals are great to wear during outdoor adventures—but they’re also cute enough to become your summer staple shoe. While they’re technically not waterproof, they are made of EVA (a rubber-like polymer) that dries almost instantly so your feet will never feel wet. The foam footbed and midsole make them next-level comfortable, while the hook and loop closures allow you to easily adjust them for the perfect fit. The goal when you’re traveling: Pack items that are multi-purpose, versatile, functional, and won’t take up a ton of space in your suitcase. Enter these kicks. The slip-on style is comfortable even for long days of walking and they’re also super lightweight and flexible. Plus, the knit material is completely waterproof and temperature-regulating, too, so your feet won’t get wet or sweaty. For beach days, paddleboarding, surfing, kayaking (you get the picture), these water shoes are a no-brainer. They feel more like a sock than a shoe, though still offer some traction and support. They come in over 40 colors and patterns and in a nice rage of sizes for both men and women. The bargain price is the icing on the cake. Snow, ice, sleet, rain—none of it is a match for these cozy boots, a true seasonal staple in our opinion. The brand’s DryTech waterproof finish ensures your feet stay dry and warm, as does the fact that they’re temperature-regulating to -32 degrees Fahrenheit and have a wool liner. Flats may not be the first thing you think of when you think of waterproof shoes, but these are the exception to the rule. They look just like any other stylish, versatile pointed toe ballet flat—but with the added benefit of being entirely water repellent. Pair them with jeans, skirts, or dresses; you really can’t go wrong. A classic Chelsea boot is a wardrobe must-have, a versatile style that you will absolutely get plenty of wear out of. The only thing better is when that Chelsea boot is also entirely waterproof. You’d never know it by looking at the pebbled leather upper and chunky lug heel on these, but that’s what’s part of the appeal—and what makes this a nice alternative to a classic rubber rain boot. Everyone goes gaga for the suede version of these clogs, but don’t sleep on this iteration. They’re entirely waterproof, washable, and very lightweight, and come in a nice line-up of neutral hues.
